Years of research has shown that the body and mind are connected. That what is happening in the mind is felt and experienced through the body. Practicing yoga allows for a reconnection of the mind and body.
It is a practice where movement and breath are aligned, and poses are conducted to support physical or mental struggles. Yoga helps decrease the physical pressures and ailments that increase stress and anxiety. When the body is tight, sore or closed off it impacts our emotions. By allowing movement within our body we allow time for physical and emotional changes. Tina believes that with certain yoga poses, sequences, mudras (hand poses) and mantras (vocalizations), anxiety, depression and a variety of other mental health challenges can be shifted and mastered.
